Job Title: Maths Tutor Location: England, South East England, Oxfordshire Salary: £25 - £30 Per hour Job Duties: The Maths Tutor will be responsible for providing individualised instruction to students in mathematics. Duties include assessing students' learning needs, developing tailored lesson plans, explaining complex mathematical concepts in an understandable manner, and monitoring student progress. Required Qualifications: Qualified candidates must have SEN experience and a minimum of 2 years' experience as a tutor or teacher. A strong background in mathematics is essential. Education: A degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field is required. A teaching qualification is desirable but not essential. Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience as a tutor or teacher, preferably in a one-on-one setting. Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN) is highly valued. Knowledge and Skills: Deep understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to effectively communicate them to students. Strong interpersonal skills, patience, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles. Preferred Qualifications: A teaching qualification such as PGCE or QTS. Additional training or certification in Special Educational Needs (SEN) education. Working Conditions: The Maths Tutor will primarily work in a classroom or educational setting, providing individualised instruction to students. Part-time hours are expected, with flexibility in scheduling. The role may involve working with students of varying ages and abilities.
