Working mainly in the public sector, our team has a broad range of exciting projects including education, residential, public and community buildings. We have strong links to Local Authorities, County Councils and Housing Associations and have a robust reputation in successfully delivering projects in these areas.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Associate Building Surveyor to join the Building Surveying Team at our Sidcup Office, to manage the successful growth and delivery of the Building Surveying team. They will be responsible for the day-to-day activities and output of the team reporting directly to the Partners of the practice at regular management meetings, on matters such as team performance, new opportunities and winning submissions.
We wish to grow the Building Surveying Team and require a Senior surveyor to join the team during this exciting time in working with new clients on interesting projects.
We expect the rights candidate to share the Partners ethos to deliver sustainable construction projects in both New Build and Retro fit format in order to deliver on our commitment to drive towards Net Zero Carbon in construction and meet commitments such as the RIBA 2030 challenge etc. They should also have good working knowledge of scheduling, specification writing, preparation of tender documentation and contracts and be able to undertake the contract administration and Employer’s Agent duties for a variety of projects in different sectors.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in building condition surveys, measured surveys, defect analysis and preparation of formal reports; submission of building regulations and planning applications. They will be required to assist with; appointing external consultants; setting budget forecasts; reviewing staff performance.
Experience of aids and adaptations, party wall matters, DDA audits, auto CAD proficient and CDM regulations would be an advantage.
The Candidate
The candidate must be MRICS qualified with at least 10-15 years industry experience.
They should have good communication, management and team working skills.
Capable of working on their own initiative and to personally undertake and run projects.
Full clean driving licence and use of their own, road legal, vehicle.
Salary packages will be offered to suit the candidates experience.
