The purpose of the role is:
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Maintenance Supervisor to join the team located in Organon, Cramlington. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that specified locations within the account are maintained and operate in a manner that is consistent with the defined maintenance strategy.
Responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the day-to-day delivery of all maintenance tasks through the effective use of the Hard Services Maintenance team.
2. Day-to-day supervision of the technical team in compliance with plant maintenance schedules and reactive works, including effective motivation, development, training, and discipline.
3. Comply with all statutory requirements and ensure site standards are maintained.
4. Operate within annual budgets as determined by the Maintenance Manager for the maintenance and delivery of the service.
5. Deliver Daily Tier(s) and Toolbox talks with the team as needed.
6. Ensure resources are available and Labour loading of tasks are reviewed periodically.
7. Monitor workload/resources and make timely recommendations for change.
8. Day-to-day vendor and contractor management, including daily on-site walks to review completed tasks by the onsite team and contractors, taking ownership of faults and escalating issues appropriately.
9. Agree on holidays and ensure staffing to cover site requirements.
10. First point of contact for staff sickness, supporting the Maintenance Manager with the Return to Work process as needed.
11. Be the CBRE High risk work permit lead and support the team with the issue of permits.
12. Compile and supply extra work quotations to the client as needed.
13. Work with the maintenance planner and scheduler for optimum service, undertake daily reviews of compliance based on the PPM planner, and provide backup for Planner duties (SAP) over holidays/sickness.
14. Be responsible for performance reviews of the maintenance team.
15. Support the Maintenance Manager in general duties and provide cover during periods of absence.
16. Work with the maintenance manager to develop training plans and a team succession plan.
17. Support onsite project activities including deliverables and handovers.
18. Work with client EHS and CBRE QHSE to support QHSE compliance for the contract.
19. Proactively recommend improvements and efficiencies to work processes by providing suggestions and solutions that enhance service efficiencies and quality.
20. Be flexible to meet changing needs.
