We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in Liverpool to assist with the appointment of an Experienced Adult Social Worker, on a 1-month contract, likely to be extended at client's discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.
Rate of Pay: £33.50 - £42.28 per Hour
Summary:
The Social Worker will contribute to the operational delivery of Adult Social Care services, ensuring high-quality support planning, safeguarding, and well-being for adults with care and support needs. The role requires assessment, planning, and review of individual support plans, working collaboratively with service users, families, and partner agencies. The postholder will manage a complex caseload, ensuring compliance with legislation, policies, and best practices while continuously improving outcomes.
Responsibilities:
1. Case Management & Assessment: Manage a varied and complex caseload with appropriate supervision. Undertake needs assessments and support planning, ensuring compliance with the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and other relevant legislation. Prepare written reports and statements for court hearings.
2. Safeguarding & Risk Management: Lead safeguarding enquiries, ensuring timely completion and appropriate recording. Assess and manage risks in collaboration with health professionals, advocacy groups, and legal representatives.
3. Multi-Agency Collaboration: Work in partnership with health, housing, voluntary organizations, and community-based services to ensure integrated and effective care planning.
4. Supervision & Professional Development: Support junior staff and colleagues through peer learning and mentoring. Participate in regular professional supervision and ongoing training to ensure up-to-date knowledge and compliance with Social Work England standards.
5. Regulatory Compliance & Reporting: Ensure all documentation is accurate, up-to-date, and legally compliant. Maintain records in accordance with Data Protection laws and local government regulations.
Qualifications:
1. DipSW, BA, or MA in Social Work or equivalent qualification.
2. Registered with Social Work England (or due to register within five months of application).
Experience:
1. Experience in community care, adult social work, or care management.
2. Applied knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005, and Mental Health Act 1983.
3. Strong experience in assessment, care planning, and multi-agency collaboration.
