Job Title: Maintenance Workshop TechnicianSalary Circa £38,000k, depending on skills and experience Permanent Full Time, 37 hours per week Based in Cotton Valley, Milton Keynes Explore a new career with us! Reporting to the Maintenance Workshop Supervisor, the Workshop Maintenance Technician role will involve the designing, machining, fabricating and welding of existing and new assets to reduce operational costs. The role will be responsible for identifying and implementing opportunities to optimise and continuously improve equipment, asset and efficiency What will you be doing?Carry out service/repair/refurbishment/fabrication work on our assets - eg gear boxes, pumps, screensMachine new parts to required tolerances - eg using lathes, milling machines, radial drillsDesign and fabricate bespoke new parts as required.Ensure that work is delivered to high standards to maximise the asset life and reliability.Work with customers and Workshop Team to ensure high priority customer-led work is delivered within the agreed level of service.Carry out root cause analysis and advise on solutions for repeat equipment failures or issues.Assist with performance monitoring, identifying high cost sites from workload and assets, suggesting efficiencies, alternative processes or maintenance.Ensure work is captured to allow tracking.Identify and recommend any required changes to maintenance standardsLook for customer driven opportunities for asset standardisation and cost savings.Deputise for Maintenance Workshop Supervisor in their absence.Ensure plant and equipment catalogue is current.Investigate and implement better engineering techniques to improve asset performance and report to Maintenance Workshop Supervisor and Regional Maintenance Workshop Manager for best practice and knowledge sharing. Appropriate engineering apprenticeship or equivalent NVQ level.Complemented by ONC/BTEC or City and Guilds parts 1 and 2 or equivalent level.Proven experience in an industrial/workshop environment.Good knowledge of the maintenance of pumps, gear boxes, plant and equipment.Machine shop trained - competent in using lathes, milling machines, radial drillsSAP and IRIS knowledge - desirable Closing date: 4th March 2024Interviews: Week Commencing 10th March 2024 #loveeverydrop
