Key Tasks:
* Create and execute sourcing, supplier management, and category strategies that align with cost, quality, and delivery objectives.
* Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks within various categories.
* Monitor global market conditions and proactively address potential supply chain disruptions.
* Develop and execute sourcing and negotiation strategies to optimize total value of ownership.
* Manage supplier relationships, focusing on cost reduction, product improvement, and ensuring production, delivery, and capacity requirements.
* Actively search for new capacities, technologies, and capabilities locally and regionally.
* Conduct supplier selection and validation, establish pricing structures, and assess suppliers' scalability.
* Perform detailed cost analysis of components and manufacturing processes to ensure the highest quality at the lowest cost.
* Partner with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced materials and services meet business needs.
* Collaborate with Engineering to develop repeatable or standard product structures for simplified product allocation.
* Act as Procurement liaison for new product launches, managing sourcing activities to meet project cost and timeline goals.
* Collaborate effectively across organizational levels, sites, functions, businesses, and regions to achieve sourcing goals.
* Ensure procurement practices comply with all regulatory requirements, identifying and addressing any gaps.
* Identify potential risks within the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies.
* Ensure suppliers adhere to regulatory requirements, company policies, and ethical standards.
* Negotiate contracts with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to secure favorable pricing, terms, and lead times.
* Resolve disputes, develop win/win solutions, and maintain positive relationships.
* Achieve optimal contractual conditions while ensuring internal customer satisfaction.
The Ideal Person:
* Demonstrated negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
* Experience with ERP systems.
* Comfortable onboarding, collaborating, and decision making in relation to supplier selection.
* Experience with RFP/RFI systems and processes.
* A continuous improvement mindset.
* The ability to manage a robust pipeline and pay attention to detail.
* Critical thinking ability and excellent communication skills.
* A minimum of 3 years procurement experience.
