Job summary This is an exciting and unique opportunity for a practitioner with a passion for furthering trauma informed practice within the youth justice context. The Forensic Adolescent Consultation Service (FACS) is a national Tier-4 service that provides specialist assessment and consultation for children deemed high risk to others and who present with significant complexity. The successful candidate will provide a trauma informed approach to formulation (Enhanced Case Management) alongside Psychologists in the team, to support children who have come into contact with the youth justice system. You will be instrumental in the development of trauma informed training for youth justice staff. The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will provide a service across Wales, and will be based at Ty Llidiard, Princess of Wales, Bridgend. There is opportunity to consider working from home arrangements and flexible working where required. The post holder will be instrumental in the roll out of Enhanced Case Management (ECM) - a trauma informed approach to supporting children known to youth justice. This approach has been evaluated and is now being rolled out across all 17 Youth Justice Services' in Wales. You will be responsible for chairing multi-agency timelining meetings. You will liaise with youth justice professionals advising and consulting on specific cases referred in to the ECM. This role will be pivotal in the development of a training package to be rolled out for all professionals within the youth justice setting and further developments e.g., practitioner forums.
