Description:
We're seeking someone to join our team as a Director in the Glasgow Internal Audit department. This role will provide audit coverage for Operations (50%) and Human Capital Management & Corporate Services (50%).
In the Internal Audit division, we provide senior management an objective and independent assessment of the Firm's internal control environment for risk management and governance. This is a Director position within the Operations and HR Coverage Audit team, which is responsible for inspecting controls across teams globally.
What you’ll do in the role:
1. Help identify risk and impact to relevant coverage area to prioritise areas of focus.
2. Execute and lead aspects of assurance activities (e.g., audits, continuous monitoring, closure verification) to assess risk and formulate a view on the control environment.
3. Facilitate conversations with stakeholders on risks, their impact and how well they are managed in a clear, timely and structured manner.
4. Assist in managing multiple deliverables in line with team priorities.
5. Solicit and provide feedback and participate in formal and on-the-job training to further develop self and peers.
What you’ll bring to the role:
1. At least 4 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
2. Understanding of business line and key regulations relevant to coverage area.
3. Strong understanding of audit principles, methodology, tools, and processes (e.g., risk assessments, planning, testing, reporting and continuous monitoring).
4. Ability to identify and analyse multiple data sources to inform point of view.
5. Ability to ask meaningful questions, understand various viewpoints and adapt messaging accordingly.
6. A commitment to practicing inclusive behaviors.
7. Must have the ability to prioritise and manage own workload across a number of projects.
