Job Description
What will you be doing ?
We are looking for an experienced Manager to join our Stockfile team to support the Senior Manager and manage a team of 7. In your role, you will perform managerial duties associated with Stockfile functions and Evelyn Partners core values, behaviours and initiatives. Ensure pricing and reference data of assets are of a high quality and the necessary checks/controls are in place to mitigate risk of error and/or client impact. Overall, ensure key stakeholders in the business are supported by the team, and that quality of client output is key to all activities and task being completed.
As a Manager - Stockfile, your responsibilities will include among others
* Providing technical advice to assist in resolving complex issues or queries which arise within the team.
* Supporting the Head of Department in the implementation of group wide projects and capabilities.
* Working with the Head of Department to review business initiatives, policies and products from an operational perspective to ensure that they are fully supportable.
* Contributing to the change management programme relevant to their area and actively manages the development and delivery of changes to operational and systems infrastructure.
* Regularly completing Training Needs Analysis of team members to ensure they have the required skill and knowledge to perform their role.
* Actively seeking improvements of operational capabilities of the team with a view to achieving servicing efficiencies.
* Ensure that knowledge of direct reports is kept up to date and that industry, regulatory and internal changes are appropriately communicated.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should
* Be CISI IOC level 3 qualified, studying towards it or looking to become qualified within 2 years of stepping into this role.
* Be educated to a degree.
* Operations experience gained within financial services or an outsourced provider.
* Experience of managing a team and its individual members, including delivering effective appraisals, performance management, etc.
* Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
* Demonstrable and practical knowledge of the regulatory environment relating to investment management and in particular settlement operations.
Desired
* Previous working in Bonds, Exchange Traded Funds or Equities would be a plus.
