A fantastic opportunity has arisen for the right individuals to join the Research and Development Finance team at NHS Lothian, based within the Academic and Clinical Central office for Research and Development, at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.
The Academic and Clinical Central Office for Research and Development is a partnership between the University of Edinburgh and NHS Lothian. Supporting researchers and commercial companies throughout the UK and internationally to conduct clinical research in thousands of projects every year, ranging from small student studies to complex interventional investigations and multi-centre international trials.

As a member of the Research and Development Finance Team, you will work closely with dynamic and enthusiastic professionals who are committed to making a difference. As an Accounting Assistant, you will build a range of transferable skills. You will work as a member of a team supporting all aspects of Management Accounting. The successful applicant may have a desire to pursue a career within an NHS accounting environment. Some experience of working within a finance area would be desirable. Applicants should have a keen eye for detail and the ability to work accurately to specified deadlines and should be self-motivated, adaptable, and keen to develop their skills and knowledge. Applicants will take on a range of responsibilities and could have the opportunity to study towards a professional qualification.
Additional Information:
1. Posts is for 37 hours per week.
2. Opportunities exist for flexible working hours.
3. Starting from 27 days annual leave + 8 days public holiday per annum (35 days leave in total).
