Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Process Project Engineer to lead the implementation of engineering projects within our global FMCG client Unilever's fast-paced environment.
The role is based in Port Sunlight Village, Wirral, with easy access by train and car. This is a full-time temporary position for 18 months, requiring 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Compensation for this role is competitive, paying between £55,000 and £65,000 per annum, pro rata, depending on experience.
Main Responsibilities:
* To prepare equipment schedules, cost schedules, and project documentation.
* To install, test, and commission plant equipment related to engineering projects.
* To conduct technical surveys and feasibility studies to enable project decisions to be made.
* To create scope documents to ensure equipment design and installation is completed to the correct standards.
* To work with Process designers to ensure plant and process is designed correctly.
* To manage contractors completing the work by reviewing risk assessment and method statements, signing permits for work to start, completing audits during the works, and signing off on completion.
* To manage any work regarding the civil aspects of plant installation such as ground works for a new vessel installation.
* To provide stakeholder updates for projects.
Key Skills Required:
* Hygienic plant and process design.
* To manage the design and installation of plant equipment (could include tanks, pumps, heat exchangers, pipework, valve and manifolds, CiP systems).
* To manage contractors safely through installation.
* To understand deeply process P&ID's and plant flow layouts.
* Experience of Microsoft Office required (Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).
* Chemical engineering background or relevant experience in process projects.
* Project management qualification or relevant experience.
* IOSH Managing safety.
