What You'll Be Doing As an SEN Support Worker (SW) in Poole, you'll be at the heart of providing personalised support to students. Your day-to-day will involve assisting with classroom activities, promoting engagement, and ensuring the well-being of the students you support. You'll also work closely with teachers and other professionals to create and implement tailored educational plans. Your Key Responsibilities Offer one-on-one support to students, helping with classroom activities and personal development. Encourage and facilitate participation in classroom and school activities. Implement and adapt individualised educational plans to meet the evolving needs of the students. Create a positive and inclusive environment that upholds the dignity and respect of all students. Keep accurate records of the support provided and progress made and communicate regularly with other team members and family members. Collaborate with teachers, educational psychologists, to ensure comprehensive support for students. Utilise the school's facilities such as the hydrotherapy pool, multi-sensory rooms, and specialised therapy spaces to enhance student support. Participate in enrichment activities designed to build confidence, independence, and personal growth. What We're Looking For Previous experience in a similar role or in providing educational support to students. A genuine passion for supporting students' educational journeys. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Relevant qualifications or training in education or child development are desirable.
