Education & Professional Qualifications
Essential Criteria
1. Post-graduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, or its equivalent, leading to eligibility for Chartered Status by the British Psychological Society.
2. Entered (or eligible to be) on the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists, or willing to work towards this.
Desirable Criteria
1. Enrolled on a course of study and supervision leading to eligibility for the BPS Specialist Register of Clinical Neuropsychologists (SRCN)
Experience
Essential Criteria
1. Post-doctoral experience in neuropsychological assessment/interventions.
2. Experience in the use and interpretation of psychometric neuropsychological tests.
3. Experience of working with adult and older adult patients with acquired and progressive neurological conditions with presenting problems that reflect the full range of clinical severity.
4. Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team.
5. Experience of working with behaviours that challenge others / behaviours of concern.
Desirable Criteria
1. Experience of teaching and training other psychologists and MDT colleagues.
2. Experience of supervising and line managing others.
3. Experience of service development and evaluation.
Skills and Aptitudes
Essential Criteria
1. Well-developed skills in the use of complex methods of psychological assessment, intervention, and management.
2. Well-developed skills in the ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, complex, highly technical and/or clinically sensitive information to patients, their families, carers, and other professional colleagues both within and outside the NHS.
3. Doctoral level knowledge of research methodology, research design, and data analysis as practiced within the clinical fields of psychology.
4. Evidence of continuing professional development as required by the Health Professions Council.
Desirable Criteria
1. Skills in providing consultation to other professional and non-professional groups.
2. Knowledge of legislation in relation to the patient group, and NHS.

1. Ability to work constructively under pressure.
2. Demonstrable commitment to multi-disciplinary team and multi-agency work.

1. Able to travel within the community and to Trust sites for the purposes of meetings and patient care.
