JOBDESCRIPTION:
* TheHealth & Safety Administrator will be directly reporting tothe OperationsDirector.
* Responsiblefor maintaining a safe working environment for all employees. Toensure we as a business adhere to health & safetystandards. To enforce health and safety policies andprocedures.
KEYRESULTS/ACCOUNTABILITIES EXPECTED FROM THEROLE:
* Bethe primary contact for all health and safety issues for employeesmanagement directors and externalstakeholders.
* Toensure training for first aiders and fire marshals are up to dateand correct numbers are maintained in relations to staffinglevels.
* Toensure training for fire marshals are up to date and correctnumbers are maintained in relations to staffinglevels.
* Tobook and monitor forklift truck training andusage.
* Accidentlogging reporting andinvestigation.
* Nearmiss recording & reporting andinvestigation.
* Toconduct and create risk assessments to the companies standard andenforce action from theoutcome.
* Tocarry out and record inductions to all new members ofstaff.
* Generalhealth and safetymaintenance.
* Toplan and train staff on the latest editions of health and safety intheworkplace.
* Tocheck maintain and order stock for PPE and first aidsupplies.
* Tomonitor and improve vehicle check sheets and ensure maintenance isrecorded & carried out asneeded.
* Providereports as required and suggest H&S improvements to theoperationsdirector.
* Testfire alarm on a weeklybasis.
* Maintainand develop out evacuation plan and do test evacuations on an adhocbasis.
PREFFEREDQUALIFICATIONS ANDCHARACTERISTICS:
* FirstAidCertificate.
* H&Squalification.
* AdministrativeQualification.
* H&Sguidelines andcompliance.
* Previousexperience in similarrole.
* Previousexperience of manufacturingenvironment
* Proficiencyin MSOffice
* Attentiontodetail.
* Abilityto communicateeffectively.
* Proactiveproblemsolving skills and a positive can doattitude.
* Excellenttime management skills & the ability to prioritize work andmultitask.
* Abilityto work on own initiative and as part ateam.
