About The Job:
This Junior Designer / Draughtsman position is a diverse, hands-on opportunity for a talented designer who is passionate about creating layout plans, manufacturing and product drawings, and collaborating with sub-contractors and main contractors. You will also have the chance to attend site meetings with other members of the team.
Working within our established Design team, there is plenty of opportunity for career progression for the right candidate. In addition to the core responsibilities, we are looking for individuals with an interest in product design and visual 3D renders.
Typical Daily Tasks:
* Producing technical layout drawings and designs
* Creating exploded installation diagrams
* Generating general layouts and quick but accurate outline CAD drawings
* Developing manufacturing drawings
* Creating visual renders of products
* Contributing to product development and design
* Collaborating with sub-contractors and main contractors on design elements
* Conducting site surveys
Key Skills:
* Experience with 3D software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
* Strong communication skills
* Well-organised and efficient worker
* Willingness to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic office environment based in Chelsea Harbour
Line Manager: Reporting to the Head of Design
Location: Office-based role at Chelsea Harbour Yard, London, with occasional face-to-face on-site meetings with clients.
Experience: Minimum of 6 months design experience is essential. Construction-related experience is beneficial, but not essential.
Education: A-Levels or above
