We are looking for a confident and motivated Buying Coordinator to join our Head Office Food Buying Coordination Team. This is an ideal role for a positive, pro-active and enthusiastic team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and will relish working under pressure.
You will be supporting our Buyers with administrative tasks, liaising with suppliers and communicating internally across departments. This role is fundamental in ensuring that Lidl remains competitive and continues its successful growth across Europe.

What you'll do
1. Supporting Buyers in the preparation of negotiations and contracts with national suppliers
2. Liaising regularly with Buyers, Suppliers and other stakeholders.
3. Ensuring complete and accurate data is passed on to the relevant teams and departments.
4. Training new starters and other colleagues across the business
5. Supporting team members as a buddy
6. Project Management: Buying Coordination.
7. Supporting Buyers with category specific tasks.
8. Preparation and distribution of reports
9. Assisting Buyers with negotiation preparation, product sampling and category reviews.
What you'll need
10. Self-motivated, able to work well in a team and independently within a high-pressured environment
11. Well-organised with the ability to multitask and work to targets and strict deadlines
12. Excellent time management skills
13. A high degree of adaptability
14. A confident approach with excellent communication skills
15. The ability and confidence to communicate effectively with colleagues across all levels of the business
16. Excellent attention to detail
17. Pro-active, approaching problems logically and calmly
18. Fully proficient in Microsoft Office
19. Positive can-do attitude with the willingness to learn
