The Role
As our Technology Infrastructure Manager, you will lead the Infrastructure team with operational responsibility for the day to day running of the network, servers and cloud platforms that NCHA uses to deliver services to our colleagues and customers. You will manage the delivery of new infrastructure technology solutions and provide support to business projects. Where required, you will use your experience and technical expertise to support the team to resolve complex issues and ensure the best service possible is provided to colleagues. You will also manage budgets, contracts and licensing renewals in your area of responsibility, and provide strategic input into the design of infrastructure systems to ensure alignment with our strategic goals.
Your main duties include but are not limited to:
* Being responsible for procurement, implementation and management of NCHA’s Network and Core Infrastructure services including principal cloud services, Internet Connectivity and Wide Area Network.
* Optimise System Performance and Uptime to ensure all systems are operational at optimal performance levels. Oversee server maintenance, network operations, and software updates to guarantee minimal downtime and maximum compliance.
* Develop and enforce robust policies for data backup, disaster recovery, and uptime. Regularly monitor these processes to protect the organisation’s valuable data assets.
* Provide strategic input into the technical roadmap for our Network and Core Infrastructure services.
* Maintain effective relationships with relevant suppliers/partners to organise the efficient supply of services within agreed contractual terms.
* Assist in development of revenue and capital budgets managing operational budgets and associated capital expenditure schemes.

What we are looking for
Our ideal candidate will have a strong technical IT background and extensive experience working in a technical IT environment. They will have hands on experience of working with an on-premise network, server infrastructure and cloud platforms. We are looking for someone who has a keen interest in technology, keeps up with market trends and applies that interest to producing innovative modern technology solutions.
Experience in a team leadership role or previous management experience would be an advantage. We are looking for a great communicator who is capable of explaining complex technical issues to a non-technical audience. You must have demonstrable customer service skills in an IT Service Management environment. Desirable: in-depth knowledge of data centres, server hardware, virtualisation, cloud solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.), infrastructure lifecycle management, complex networking solutions, next generation firewall configuration and management, Microsoft Active Directory, Entra ID and Group Policy.
Qualifications: This role requires you to have a relevant professional qualification at degree level or equivalent or demonstrable experience. You must submit evidence of your qualifications or discuss your experience during your interview.
Other requirements: This role requires a valid full UK driving license.

Working Hours
Monday to Friday, 9.00am – 5.00pm. Hybrid working is available for this position, with 3 days per week working from the office and 2 days per week working from home (once fully trained). Our Head Office is based in Clifton.
