The de Ferrers Trust is a mixed multi-academy trust based in East Staffordshire and South Derbyshire. The Trust currently consists of seven schools (three secondaries and four primaries) educating approximately 5,500 students between the ages of 3 and 19 years. The Trust employs around 700 members of staff.

The Candidate
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Estates Officer to join our supportive Trust Estates Team. You will work under the guidance and direction of the Trust Estates Project Manager and support the delivery of effective capital projects, estates compliance and Health and Safety support across the schools within the Trust.
You will assist with the capital projects planning process, assist in drafting detailed scoping and specification documents for projects. You will support the ongoing development of estates compliance across the Trust, overseeing and monitoring the Trust premises compliance system, ensuring accurate input and full utilisation at school level.
You will have a technical knowledge of statutory Health and Safety Regulations, experience of assisting the management of property maintenance, working with compliance systems and preparing Health & Safety audits and risk assessments. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to enthuse, motivate others, and develop effective partnerships. Good IT skills, as well as being able to prioritise your workload and able to adhere to strict deadlines.
Experience working in the education sector is advantageous, although, not essential as comprehensive training will be provided.
