Claims Specialist - Wholesale Professional Indemnity - US Law Firms
Are you an experienced PI Claims professional ideally with knowledge of London Market claims processes and procedures? Are you excited to join a claims team that handles PI claims on behalf of some of the world's most recognised Professional Services Groups? If so, we have a fantastic hybrid role with flexibility to work both virtually and from our Chelmsford office.
What the day will look like
In this exciting role, you will be primarily responsible for the management, strategy, and process for the notification, agreement, collection, and successful settlement of a portfolio of Financial Lines claims. Your key responsibilities will include:
* First notification of loss for PI claims
* Negotiation and liaison with markets, clients, placement teams, specialists, network offices, underwriters, and appointed authorities (loss adjusters, lawyers, etc.).
* Conduct data analysis to establish the claims history for a particular client or business portfolio, and to identify trends and patterns in claims for a client or business segment
* Negotiate the payment and settlement of claims with clients and underwriters
* Coordinate discussions and, where appropriate, meetings to ensure superior level of communication between the client, underwriter, and their representatives concerning the proposed settlement.
* Engage with the Head of Financial Lines Advocacy in the strategy to conclude contentious claims
Skills and experience that will lead to success
* Experience dealing with claims from First Notification of Loss to resolution.
* Knowledge of Professional Indemnity Claims and confidence to coordinate and initiate discussions with our networks, clients, underwriters, and experts
* Experience of the CLASS and ECF Processing system (preferable)
* Proficient in Word and Excel
* Strong interpersonal skills
