As a Welcome and Service Assistant, you will provide a warm friendly welcome, giving information about the property and answering any questions our visitors may have to ensure everyone has an enjoyable and memorable visit.
Salary: £11.64 per hour (FTE £22,698 per annum).
This is our anticipated salary from 1st April but is subject to final confirmation following the Trust’s annual pay review process.
Hours: 820 hours per year. This role is based on annualised hours, where the number of hours you work each month may vary, however your salary will be paid in equal instalments over the year. Shifts may vary to suit the need of the property, but we aim to give you your working hours 1 month in advance.
Contract – Fixed Term Contract until 31 December 2025.
You will be required to work weekends, bank holidays and school holidays as part of this role.

Reporting to the Welcome Manager, you’ll be part of the Welcome team at Knightshayes, based both in our visitor reception and on our welcome point at the house. It is a great place to work as it’s a lively property open to the public 7 days a week. As a team, we're all passionate about conservation, access, being inclusive and making sure that everyone who comes into contact with us has a great welcome and fantastic experience
What you'll be doing
Day to day, you’ll deliver a great all-round customer service experience. You’ll be on hand answering queries and listen to what our visitors need so you can share the right information on arrival to the site and at our house welcome. You will process admissions and promote the benefit of National Trust membership. Your role is to make sure our visitors have the best day they can.
