A leading automation business based in the heart of Telford who have built up a fantastic reputation amongst their varied customer base. The company specialise in providing cutting edge automation solutions such as automated welded, machining and assembly solutions across Automotive, Aerospace, Yellow Goods and Nuclear sectors. Due to significant expansion of their order book and an increase in work with key customers, the company are now looking for a Design Engineer to join their growing team.
Hours: 08:30 – 17:00 Mon – Thurs
08:30 – 15:00 Fri
The role
Reporting into the Technical Director, a Mechanical Design Engineer is now required join the team on a permanent basis.
You will take responsibility for:
* Working within a small design team, designing special purpose machinery for customers from initial concept
* Working on a multitude of projects across a range of industries
* Development/Design/Integration of PLC Software From scratch
* Utilising Autodesk Inventor software to Design products to customer specification
* Taking full responsibility for all mechanical elements of projects ranging from Tooling, Automation, Welded Assembly, Robotics and Material Handling
What you need
It is ESSENTIAL for the successful candidate to have the following:
* Mechanical Design experience within an Engineering/Manufacturing setting
* CAD experience ideally within the company's software of Autodesk Inventor
* Experience of working on a range of customer lead projects
* Ability to Develop Design/Integrate siemens PLC Software From scratch
Other DESIRABLE skills include:
* Experience within the Automation / Robotics / Special Purpose Machinery industry would be a distinct advantage.
* Experience of designing equipment for Nuclear, Yellow Goods, Automotive & Aerospace industries is advantageous
* Experienced with robotic welding equipment / machine tools would be an advantage
