As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide one-to-one and small-group support, assisting in the classroom and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA): Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they feel engaged and supported. Assist with the delivery of tailored learning plans under the guidance of the teacher and SENCO. Encourage students' independence, communication, and social skills. Work closely with teaching staff to implement strategies for individual student progress. Provide emotional and academic support to help students overcome challenges. Monitor progress and report feedback to teachers and SEN staff. Requirements for an SEN Teaching Assistant: Qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3, NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistance. Previous experience working with children with SEN as a SEN Teaching Assistant. A degree in psychology, education, or something similar. A caring, patient, and resilient approach.
