What youll do
As a Linen Room Supervisor, you'll enjoy your work and take pride in delighting our guests and colleagues:
* You will manage the operations of the linen room, ensuring proper inventory control, distribution, and collection of linens and uniforms.
* You will supervise staff, maintain quality standards, and coordinate with laundry services to ensure timely processing.
* You will also handle record-keeping, cost control, and compliance with health and safety regulations.

The operational hours of work are shift-based and may be subjected to change. These currently set as:

Essential Skills and Experience
* Staff Shift Management -Ensure all team members are present and working according to the rota.Address any discrepancies or absenteeism to the line manager immediately.
* Daily Preparations - Cleaning Rags: Prepare sufficient rags for cleaning every day. Staff Towels: Ensure staff towels are prepared and distributed daily.
* Record Keeping and MonitoringReview and verify the following records daily:
- Oven Cloths Log Sheet: Ensure uniform room attendants maintain this sheet for stock management daily.
- Linen Room Monthly Cleaning Checklist: Verify that the checklist is completed.
- 45 Park Lane Napkins - Laundry List: Confirm accuracy and completion.Follow-up: If any record is incomplete, address the issue with the responsible linen porter promptly.
* RFID Device Management - Ensure the RFID hand-held device is fully charged as a backup for linen counting if the RFID cabin is non-operational.
* Linen Room OrganizationMaintain a tidy and organized linen room, ensuring:
- Bathrobes are categorized by size and age on designated shelves.
- All linen is neatly arranged on shelves.
- Non-property linen is identified and reported to the line manager.
* Linen Trolley Management - Organize new linen trolleys with clear labels indicating contents (e.g., quantity and types of linen). Check for soiled linen trolleys left behind daily, contacting the external laundry service if necessary.
* Projects and Investigations - Take ownership of assigned projects, investigations and other tasks, ensuring timely and thorough completion as directed by the line manager.
Preferred Skills
* Rejected Linen Management- Sorting: Sort all rejected linen and flag unusual patterns or anomalies.
- Reporting: Prepare and submit a ripped linen report every two weeks.
- Discarding: Discard rejected linen in accordance with its status using the RFID cabin.
* Soiled Bedding and Supplier Coordination - Monitor soiled bedding for Donau Express. Contact the supplier if the trolley is full to arrange collection. Transfer clean bedding to the linen room and inform the HSK office for collection.
* Uniform Room Coverage - Cover uniform room attendants during lunch and dinner breaks, handling duties such as: Accepting private uniforms for laundry, recording uniform pickups in the Spot system, maintaining clean uniform racks.
* Linen Cupboard Checks - Inspect floor linen cupboards daily around 5:00 PM. Address any shortages of clean linen or excess dirty linen with the linen porter immediately.
* New Staff Supervision and Training - Shadow new staff members to ensure they are supervised during their initial training period. Provide hands-on training and support until the new staff member demonstrates confidence in performing their duties independently. Regularly review the progress of new staff and address areas for improvement to prevent mistakes. Offer constructive feedback and encouragement to build competence and confidence in their role.
