Learning Support Assistant – Positive Behaviour Support Contract: Up to 35 hours per week, 38-week contract Salary: £12.58 per hour Location: Nottingham or Mansfield Join a leading college in Nottinghamshire as a Learning Support Assistant, specialising in Positive Behaviour Support. This role is crucial in making a direct impact on learners with additional needs, collaborating closely with delivery staff to facilitate learner progression through the curriculum framework at either the Nottingham or Mansfield campus. Day-to-day of the role: Provide tailored support to learners with additional needs, focusing on positive behaviour strategies. Work collaboratively with teaching staff to implement educational plans that cater to individual learner requirements. Utilise specialised techniques, including NAPPI (Non-Abusive Psychological and Physical Intervention), to manage and support positive behaviour. Monitor and record learner progress, adapting strategies as needed to maximise learner engagement and achievement. Participate in training and development sessions to enhance personal skills and support capabilities. Required Skills & Qualifications: NAPPI Level 2 certification or equivalent, or willingness to achieve this qualification within an agreed timescale. Proven experience working with individuals with additional needs, particularly aged 16 and above. Minimum Level 2 qualification in Maths, English, and IT.
