Compliance Officer - Permanent/Part-Time (22.5 hours per week)
Location: West Midlands / UK - Hybrid working (1 day per week travel to Birmingham, Uxbridge, or Watford)
Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and proactive Compliance Officer to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing corporate compliance risk, developing, and maintaining company policies, and monitoring compliance activity to minimise reputational, financial, and contractual risks.
You will act as a subject matter expert (SME), offering guidance to support process improvements that drive business efficiency and support strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities
Audit and Compliance Monitoring
Conduct a wide range of audits across all Brook Street brands to assess compliance with statutory, contractual, and internal standards, and identify areas for improvement.Data Management & GDPR
Handle client requests in line with Corporate Data Privacy protocols.
Respond to applicant queries.
Process Data Subject Requests, including Right to be Forgotten and Subject Access Requests.Contractual Audits
Audit Strategic and Key Account KPIs and obligations.
Review branch recruitment practices against contractual terms.External Audits
Coordinate and support external audits, including:
Client audits
Modern Slavery and GLAA inspections
Regulatory inspections (e.g., CQC, Ofsted)
