Job Description
We are looking for a multi-skilled engineer to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and delivering planned maintenance, whilst ensuring work is carried out to the highest possible standard.
Responsibilities:
1. Be prepared to develop the necessary skills and efficiently carry out all maintenance team member tasks.
2. Contribute and help to implement continuous improvement to enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and waste reduction.
3. Work as part of an effective response team on breakdowns and/or emergency repairs.
4. To be responsible for ensuring daily checks are carried out efficiently and in a timely manner and complete documents as required.
5. Ensure all works carried out are compliant with Health and Safety requirements.
6. Enter any maintenance on work request forms as required.
7. Help and assist the training of others and identify own training needs.
8. To ensure the safety of oneself and others at all times.
9. Any other reasonable duties as required.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
1. Working PLC knowledge and experience.
2. Previous experience in providing engineering support on production and packing lines is essential, and experience in the Food Manufacturing industry would be desirable.
3. Electrical and Mechanical qualifications.
4. Ability to follow instructions and use own initiative.
5. Excellent health and safety awareness.
6. Experience in installations, breakdowns, and planned maintenance.
7. Competent in report writing.
8. Able to work unsupervised.
9. Flexibility to do the hours required for the role.
Shift Pattern:
4 on 4 off days and nights
