We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee and enhance our financial operations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on environment and is looking to grow with a business. If you have a solid background in finance and accounting and possess strong leadership skills, we would love to hear from you.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Oversee the day-to-day finance operations to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
* Supervise a small finance team, providing mentorship and training support.
* Prepare and submit various HMRC returns to ensure compliance.
* Oversee payroll processes and payment runs.
* Monitor and report on cash flow trends, escalating concerns when necessary.
* Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations.
* Assist in preparing monthly management accounts and other financial analysis and reporting tailored to specific business needs.
* Support budgeting and forecasting activities under senior leadership guidance.
* Identify areas for improving operational efficiency within accounting processes.
* Assist in implementing basic financial controls to reduce risks.
* Perform ad-hoc financial projects or team support tasks as business needs arise.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Solid experience in finance and accounting roles with some team supervision.
* Familiarity with SME finance operations, including VAT, payroll, and reconciliations.
* Proficiency with Sage accounting software and strong Excel skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
