An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and dedicated Paediatric Nurse to apply for the Senior Charge Nurse post within our Paediatric Scheduled Care – Day Care & Outpatient Areas.
Applicants will be required to demonstrate effective leadership and workforce managerial skills with a flexible approach to working and have extensive knowledge of acute NHS services and a comprehensive understanding of Paediatric Care.
It is essential that applicants have experience of clinical activity monitoring, contributing to service performance management, and working within quality assurance systems using quality assurance data.
Knowledge of health, safety, and risk management in the clinical workplace is essential.
Applicants should demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development and must have previous Band 6 experience in an acute hospital setting or equivalent, along with staff line management experience.
The successful candidate will lead by example to foster a supportive, compassionate, and caring culture.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 37 hours per week, working as per service requirements.

NHS Scotland is reducing the full-time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours starting 1 April 2024, with no change in pay. This change will be applied pro-rata for part-time staff.
