Job Description
If you're a patient-focused Lead / Head Dental Nurse looking for a rewarding role in a friendly and professional environment, look no further than Aston Clinton Dental & Implant Clinic.
* Full-time hours, 40 hours a week.
* Fully flexible to work across practice opening hours (requiring approximately 1 Saturday morning a week).
* Practice working hours are between 7:45 and 19:15 Monday to Saturday.
* To follow all HTM-105 and CQC requirements in decontamination and support and develop all team nurses and agency staff for cross infection and decon protocols of the practice.
* Leading a team of nurses to ensure we deliver the best levels of patient care, in a safe, compliant environment.
* To work with nurses on their ongoing training for equipment in practice – documented and structured and oversee all signing off on a daily basis in decon.
* Support nurses and clinicians in practice along with assisting clinicians in dental procedures and treatments.
* Act as a liaison between dental team and management.
* Support in Clinical Audits, Safety and Regulatory actions.
* Offer outstanding support to all clinicians to ensure we are prepared in all treatments.
* To set up monthly nurse meetings for your team, chair the meeting and document all discussions raised.

About you

* Valid certification or diploma in Dental Nursing with at least 2 years chairside nursing.
* Registration with the General Dental Council (GDC).
* Previous experience in a similar lead nurse role.
* A positive attitude, empathy, and the ability to communicate well with patients and colleagues.
* 1-2-1 leadership of a nursing team.
* Passionate about building great relationships with patients and colleagues, and providing exceptional standards of care.
