Senior Legal Counsel, Employment Law
We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel specializing in Employment Law (UK) to join our team in London, UK.
The Senior Legal Counsel (Employment Law) serves as a contact point and discussion partner for business units on all employment-related legal matters, including significant operational and commercial issues.
Key Responsibilities:
* Advise and lead in resolving disputes and settlement agreements related to employees, liaising with external lawyers if legal proceedings are initiated.
* Minimize legal risks associated with employment matters.
* Provide legal advice to HR and business teams, review policies and procedures, monitor new legislation, and assist with legal amendments.
* Maintain contacts with legal professionals and participate in study groups on legal topics.
* Draft, negotiate, and advise on various employment legal issues, including restructures, complex individual issues, TUPE, and large outsourcing agreements, as well as commercial contracts.
* Collaborate with HR and procurement teams on Contingent Labour Contracts.
* Support other legal areas as needed, such as contracts for business and customer services.
Knowledge & Experience:
Preferred qualifications:
* Relevant experience in employment law with a Master of Law degree.
* Strong knowledge of employment, contract, and commercial law, with practical experience in an international business or law firm.
* Experience in providing comprehensive legal support on policy issues.
* Excellent organizational, negotiating, and social skills.
* Ability to interact professionally across diverse organizational levels and cultures.
* Strong writing skills for legal documents, reports, and contracts.
* Team-oriented, proactive, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
* Proficiency in spoken and written English.
