You will mentor and coach Support Workers, ensuring that the people we support receive the best possible care. You will collaborate with your Service Manager, Lead Coordinator, and external professionals to ensure service users' needs are met and that their rights are upheld. Key Responsibilities: Caring for The People We Support: - Compassion: Support the team to monitor the people we support's mental, emotional, and physical wellbeing, ensuring appropriate action is taken when necessary. - Competence: Ensure that People we support's support plans, risk assessments, and behaviour support plans are regularly reviewed, and that staff are properly trained in safeguarding procedures to keep the People we support are safe. - Communication: Build effective relationships with the people we support, their families, and external professionals to enhance their health and lifestyle. Supporting the Team: - Courage: Lead and inspire your team through mentoring and coaching, ensuring they meet the needs of the people we support. - Commitment: Maintain compliance with care policies and procedures, completing all quality assurance and compliance activities to a high standard. - Collaboration: Work closely with your team and management to ensure the delivery of high-quality care, ensuring that all records are accurate and up to date. Leadership & Development: - Coaching & Mentoring: Provide guidance and training on best practices, including medication management, moving and handling techniques, and communication preferences. - Continuous Improvement: Actively seek opportunities for both your own development and that of the team, ensuring all practices align with CQC standards and regulations. What We're Looking For: - Some experience in coaching or mentoring, within a health and social care setting - A natural ability to lead, motivate, and support your colleagues to be the best they can be - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both internal teams and external professionals - A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (car/motorbike) for work purposes - A passion for learning and development, both for yourself and your team Your Responsibilities Include: - Mentoring and supporting Support Workers to meet individual care needs and deliver exceptional service. - Providing ongoing training and guidance on medication, moving and handling techniques, communication preferences, and other care needs. - Ensuring compliance with Be Caring's policies, procedures, and CQC standards. - Communicating effectively with the Service Manager, Lead Coordinator, and external professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
