Job Description
A responsible for overseeing all aspects of a structural engineering project from conception to completion, including leading design teams, managing budgets and timelines, coordinating with other disciplines, conducting site visits, and ensuring the structural integrity of a building or structure meets all necessary codes and client requirements, while maintaining clear communication with clients and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
Project Manager Structural Engineer
Position Type: Full Time
Office: Warrington, PA
Salary Range: $90,000 to $110,000 annually
Responsibilities:
1. Designing and analyzing existing and proposed structures, including buildings, bridges, culverts, and other infrastructure
2. Work with Architects to provide building/structural engineering services
3. Securing, planning, directing, and monitoring all aspects of local, county, and state bridge projects, including permits
4. Building and bridge inspections
5. Ability to draft and prepare effective and efficient project proposals
6. Construction support services, such as contract administration, project coordination, permitting, and budget management
7. Understanding of project financials and reporting; maintaining compliance with project budgets
8. Participate in local civic and professional organizations such as the Chamber of Commerce, ASCE, and NSPE to promote the Company
9. Assist Senior Management with managing and growing the Corporate Structural Engineering Discipline
10. Assist Senior Management with retention and development of Client relationships
11. Transition to developing, managing, and mentoring a staff of Structural Engineers and Structural Designers with financial objectives, including utilization, profit, and overhead
Qualifications
Requirements:
1. B.S. in Structural, Civil Engineering or equivalent
2. Registration as a Professional Engineer in PA is required, and NJ
3. 10+ years of general structural engineering experience, including buildings, bridges, and retaining walls
4. Experience working with Architects
5. Experience working with local and state agencies
6. Experience working on PennDOT or Turnpike projects is highly preferred
7. Progressive experience working directly with clients and managing all aspects of projects
8. Excellent communication, project management, and client relation skills
9. Strong organization and leadership skills with a track record for understanding and adhering to contractual requirements
10. Some AutoCAD Civil 3D experience
11. Knowledge of structural design software, including PennDOT programs
