The successful Learning Mentor will support Teachers to ensure that pupils engage more effectively with their learning and help increase levels of achievement through appropriate provision. This is a great opportunity to combine mentoring skills whilst working in a supportive environment with both individual pupils and small groups.
To be successful, you will:
* Be able to demonstrate a range of behaviour management strategies
* Be well organised and have high expectations of achievement and behaviour
* Have the ability to engage constructively with and relate to a wide range of young people from different backgrounds
* Possess excellent communication skills at all levels
About us
Purple Oaks Academy is a special free school for students with autism and/or severe learning difficulties. All students who attend the academy have an Education, Health and Care Plan. The academy currently has 122 students on roll, eight of whom are placed in our Post-16 provision.
