While this role is strategic at its core, it also demands hands-on creative leadership, particularly in the first 6-12 months, to drive high-impact content campaigns across multiple platforms.
This position requires a senior-level strategist who can confidently lead cross-functional collaboration and oversee execution across internal teams and external creative partners. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in B2B SaaS, financial/commodities markets, or fast-scaling environments and a deep understanding of content marketing for high-growth industries.
This role sits within the wider marketing function, working closely with brand, demand generation, product marketing, and digital teams to ensure content aligns with overarching business goals.
What You'll Be Doing:
Creative Strategy & Execution
* Develop and implement a content strategy that balances brand storytelling with demand generation and engagement goals.
* Provide hands-on creative leadership, guiding internal and external teams in executing high-impact campaigns.
* Collaborate with designers, videographers, animators, and copywriters to bring compelling narratives to life.
* Work closely with external agencies, freelancers, and production teams to ensure creative excellence and alignment with business objectives.
* Ensure all content maintains a high standard of storytelling, creativity, and consistency across platforms.
* Manage the end-to-end content production process, from ideation to execution.
* Develop content tailored for key platforms, including LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, company blogs, industry publications, and emerging digital channels.
* Optimize content for SEO, organic growth, and social media engagement to maximize reach and performance.
* Guide the repurposing of content across various platforms to ensure a steady pipeline of high-value assets.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
* Act as the bridge between content, brand, product marketing, demand generation, and digital teams to ensure a cohesive content strategy.
* Lead alignment between internal teams and external creative partners, ensuring seamless execution.
* Influence and inspire teams to maintain creative excellence while delivering business-driven content solutions.
* Work closely with executive leadership and stakeholders to shape messaging that aligns with company objectives.
Performance & Optimisation
* Use data-driven insights to refine content strategies and enhance engagement.
* Work with analytics teams to track content performance across key metrics, including:
o Messaging Impact: Brand consistency and audience perception.
o Engagement & Reach: Page views, time on page, and content shares.
o SEO & Organic Growth: Keyword rankings, backlinks, and search traffic.
o Content Production Efficiency: Timely delivery, repurposing strategy, and pipeline consistency.
* Conduct A/B testing and implement best practices based on audience insights.
What We're Looking For:
Required:
* Proven experience in content strategy, creative direction, and digital storytelling in a B2B SaaS, financial/commodities markets, or fast-scaling environment.
* Hands-on experience in content creation, multimedia production, and campaign execution.
* Strong leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and influence key stakeholders.
* Experience managing external creative partners, agencies, and freelancers.
* Proficiency in content management systems, digital marketing platforms, and analytics tools.
* Ability to translate business objectives into compelling, high-performing content.
Preferred:
* Experience developing content for LinkedIn, YouTube, Twitter, blogs, and industry publications.
* Knowledge of SEO, audience growth strategies, and content performance analytics.
* Background in journalism, advertising, design, or media production is a plus.
