Job Description

Responsibilities
1. Produce chip qualification reports for external and internal customers/stakeholders as well as proper documentation for future generation products.
2. Assessment/evaluation of semiconductor and optical component ageing characteristics, failure modes & associated risks.
3. Reliability study based on solid knowledge of physics-of-failures.
4. Problem solving, test engineering, testing and statistical data analysis.
Key Relationships
* Working closely with the Chip Reliability managers and Senior Reliability Engineers who will define the testing required.
* Close working with other reliability engineers to determine the data processing and analysis required.
* Close working with the test development team to commission new reliability test kit and ensure test kit is well maintained.
Skills/Competencies/Experience Required
* BS in physics, electronic engineering, material science or similar related discipline.
* Statistical software package: JMP, Minitab etc.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills, able to robustly defend data analysis and conclusions where necessary.
* Test engineering (Test kit development, electrical/optical test execution/data extraction/data processing).
* Good interpersonal and project management skills.
* Willing & able to pro-actively engage with other groups within the company both verbally and via written communication.
* Self-motivated, energetic, able to work to deadlines.
* The flexibility to cope with rapidly changing objectives.
Skills/Competencies/Experience Desirable
* Opto-electronic/electronic component, design, performance, processing and operation.
* Reliability Analysis and Reliability Modelling software such as Reliasoft Weibull++.
* Failure analysis of Electronics/Photonic Devices.
* Hands-on experience in using FIB-SEM, TEM and EDS.
Other Requirements
* Experience in opto-electronic component reliability and qualification (to Telcordia standards).
