As a Compliance Business Partner, you'll lead a team ensuring accurate learner data processing throughout their educational journey, from enrolment to completion. You'll provide guidance to managers, support data integrity, and maximise funding claims while adhering to strict compliance regulations. Customer service and data accuracy is paramount, and both are monitored through key performance indicators (KPIs).
What will you be doing?
* Leadership and development: Provide leadership, knowledge and developmental support to your team, including regular 1-2-1s for performance management and feedback.
* Performance and accuracy: Drive performance and maintain data accuracy, ensuring an ILR batch error rate of below 5%.
* Progress reporting: Update senior management regularly on progress, workloads and potential barriers to timely processing.
* Compliance communication: Lead meetings with Operational Managers to proactively share compliance trends, audit findings and funding rules updates.
* Error prevention and resolution: Collaborate with the audit team to resolve errors and implement proactive prevention processes.
* Support and guidance: Provide expert compliance support and guidance within assigned business areas and address related queries.
* Documentation and records: Ensure processing guides are accurate, learner records are maintained across systems and certifications are issued on time.
* Audit and validation: Support internal and external audit preparation, validate compliance tasks and maintain the integrity of the ILR through error correction.
* Data systems and reporting: Work with analysts to develop automated reporting systems to improve data visibility and reduce non-compliance risks.
* Team goals and adaptability: Lead by example, uphold Compliance team goals and provide coverage for colleagues when necessary.
* Manage the investigation process of any cases of malpractice, supported by the Head of Quality and Senior HRBP make sure any improvements are completed in a timely manner.

What will you bring to the role?
* Relevant experience of working in a Compliance / Data Processing environment
* Relevant experience of working for a work-based learning provider
* Level 6 Leadership or Management qualification (or willingness to undertake)
* Strong administrative skills and experience
* Experience managing or coordinating a team or group, formally or informally.
* Excellent understanding of the current ESFA Apprenticeship funding rules
* Relevant experience of training team members and colleagues
* Excellent attention to detail
* Desire to offer exceptional Customer Service
* Strong communication skills across all platforms (emails / phone / teleconferencing) and in person
* Ability to prioritise, monitor and review own work.
