Job overview
****** THIS POSITION IS ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT UNIVERSITY HOSPITALS NHS FOUNDATION TRUST EMPLOYEES ******
We have an opportunity to join the Site Management Team as a Band 7 Site Nurse Practitioner at St Richards Hospital, Chichester .
We are a small, well motivated and hard working team using our clinical as well as management and organisational skills on a daily basis.
Our challenges vary every day, making it a great role for staff to liaise with the many specialities and departments within the hospital. We are often dealing with clinical emergencies anywhere on site, where you will need to work as an autonomous practitioner as well as part of an emergency team. The role also involves managing ongoing bed capacity throughout the day, so if you like solving puzzles, then this is the role for you.
We offer you an induction period and support you at every stage of your progression.
The role carries significant responsibilities such as managing site issues on a 24 hour basis and involving night rotation, where you will be part of the Hospital at Night team.
You will need to be a Band 6 with substantial experience at that level, also ward management would be an advantage. This is a great opportunity to broaden your knowledge.
If you are looking for a challenge for the next year then this is it, you will need to be able to communicate effectively, solve complex problems whilst thinking on your feet, and have good negotiation skills, as well as a sense of humour.
