Job Description
We are seeking a talented and passionate Demi Chef De Partie to join our culinary team in Jersey. As a member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a crucial role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests whilst honing your skills in a dynamic and innovative environment.
* Assist the Chef de Partie in the day-to-day operations of your assigned kitchen section
* Prepare high-quality dishes that meet our exacting standards of taste and presentation
* Ensure proper food handling, storage, and hygiene practices are followed at all times
* Collaborate with other kitchen team members to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow
* Contribute creative ideas for new menu items and seasonal specials
* Maintain an organised and clean work area
* Assist in stock rotation and inventory management
* Train and mentor junior kitchen staff
* Adapt to various roles within the kitchen as needed
* Continuously improve your culinary skills and knowledge
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a Demi Chef de Partie or in a similar culinary role
* Formal culinary education or relevant vocational training
* Strong technical cooking skills and knowledge of various cuisines
* Understanding inventory management
* Excellent knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
* Valid food handling and safety certifications
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
* Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent time management and organisational skills
* Good communication and teamwork abilities
* Creativity and passion for innovative cooking techniques
* Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
* Experience in a fine dining or Michelin-starred environment is highly desirable
* Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
