The CRUK Cambridge Centre Urological Malignancies Virtual Institute is looking to appoint a part time (0.5 FTE) Administrative Assistant to help with our expanding operations. The Urological Malignancies Virtual Institute is an active, multidisciplinary research programme with over 90 members and a wide range of clinical and scientific interest. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Urological Malignancies team, supporting the Programme Leads and Manager in general administrative and office management tasks including diary management. The post holder will be responsible for supporting and coordinating events for the Programme, as well as for communication with Programme members through newsletters, website, and social media channels. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and have the confidence to deal appropriately with people of all levels of seniority. They will also have strong organisational skills, an ability to prioritise work effectively and a pro-active manner. Good IT skills (Microsoft Office, and some communications software) and accurate written English are essential. Attendance at events outside of normal working hours will occasionally be required.
