The Role
The purpose of the role is to provide a safe environment whilst delivering effective customer service at all times and seeking opportunities to enhance the customer service experience at the station. You will ensure that customers are extended at the station, providing proactive assistance and information to customers on and off the train.
You will be responsible for the safe and punctual dispatch of trains and work in accordance of the rule book and operational standards and will also be required to provide effective customer service whilst working in a fast-paced environment.
You will be required to wear full uniform, ensuring that your appearance complies with the company standards and be responsible for security checks of the station and premises and carry out winter precaution as per local instructions.
This is a full-time post, and the relief roster is over seven days with early starts, late finishes and nights.Earliest start is 0440 and latest finish is 0600. Weekends Bank Holidays and night shifts. You would be required to have your own transport to ensure you can get to work.

You will have a high level of professionalism, positive attitude, and be proactive, friendly and open when dealing with our customers. Effective customer service and interpersonal skills are crucial for this role. You will remain calm under pressure, show integrity and be flexible and adaptable to change.
This is a safety critical role and you will be responsible for the safe dispatch of trains. A medical will be required upon successful interview
