The Body Systems and Software Domain is responsible for a multitude of customer facing technologies. Within this Domain the Core HMI team has been expanding to bolster the existing Systems engineering and architecture capability in order to specify and support the end-to-end in-house software development for HMI features and products. The successful candidate will join the CORE HMI team (part of Product Engineering) on this journey.
WHAT TO EXPECT
The Lead System Engineer will be part of a multi-disciplinary systems engineering team which are responsible for both the structural and behavioural definition of HMI functionality as well driving the process improvement, planning and prioritisation for the wider HMI design, development and delivery functions for current and future vehicle architectures.
* Manage delivery of the Core HMI product, including managing validation issues raised on Core HMI.
* Lead HMI Systems and Software Domain level planning activities, including working with CSI and Program teams to determine required HMI delivery content and prioritization.
* Coordinate with HMI Design teams to manage and prioritize HMI specifications incoming to the HMI systems and software development teams.
* Identify dependencies needed to support Domain priorities and align with internal and external stakeholders and manage impediments.
* Lead liaison between HMI design and development teams for the management of HMI component libraries in both Figma and Android.
* Support DPP level Des & Dev Ops activities focused on optimizing HMI design and development processes, including automated design transfer from HMI Design to HMI Development tooling.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
* Extensive experience in HMI Software development, management and product delivery.
* Experience of UX/UI design and associated tools such as FIGMA.
* Previous experience of coordinating multiple HMI Design teams to manage and prioritize HMI specifications.
* An understanding of the Agile/Scrum framework and its key principles.
* Experience in using requirements management tools such as TRM, DOORS or JAMA.
