We are looking for an Assistant Manager with specialist not for profit skills to join our accounting and financial reporting team, to assist managers to profitably deliver work across a portfolio of not for profit clients. This role will focus on complex financial reporting and consolidations, whilst managing a small portfolio of not-for-profit clients.
You’ll make an impact by:
* Acting as day-to-day point of contact for clients and practising the principles of excellent client service at all times.
* Managing a small portfolio of not for profit clients within the agreed internal budget for the job and addressing any material points identified on assignments with the team.
* Planning assignments in accordance with the firm’s standard procedures and confirming arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements.
* Ensuring that assignments are undertaken in accordance with instructions; carrying out complex aspects of the assignment efficiently, thoroughly and in accordance with the firm’s procedures.
What we are looking for:
To be considered for this opportunity, your qualifications, skills and experience must include:
* ACA or ACCA qualified.
* A strong understanding of UK financial reporting requirements.
* Knowledge and experience of UK GAAP, FRS 102 and the Charities SORP.
* Previous experience of working with not for profit clients.
* Ability to demonstrate commercial awareness and to add value.
* Strong oral and written communication skills.
* Well-developed people management skills.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills.
* Good understanding of Microsoft Word & Excel.
