About the Role
You will be supporting and caring for vulnerable adults with a diagnosis of autism and/or learning disabilities in a residential environment, whilst placing the individual at the center of all support and decision-making.
Your role will be to follow and implement the specialist support outlined in the individual’s bespoke support plans. Encourage and empower individuals to make their own choices and take control of decisions that affect their life. Strive for independence for the individual by teaching new skills and developing existing skills within their community setting.
Ensure personal needs are met, including daily life skills and daily activities.

Cedar Health and Wellbeing are looking for motivated, positive, and compassionate individuals to support vulnerable adults with Autism, Learning Disabilities, and Complex Needs in our established Residential Service.
This role would suit someone who is able to use their initiative and think creatively, and who is outcome-based to meet the needs of its users in a welcoming and vibrant environment. You will receive all relevant training to the role, and ongoing support will be provided for your role allowing you to build on your experience and achieve your career ambitions.
Regular supervisions will be offered.

What we expect from you
Ability to work effectively and professionally as an individual and as part of a team. You will work within a core team, ensuring continuity in support whilst developing positive relationships with the individual.
You will possess an ability to problem-solve and act on initiative whilst also being able to follow instructions. In challenging situations, be able to consider risks associated and make measured decisions to enable success and adopt a reflective practice approach to further learning and development to achieve outcomes.
You will need to have a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and be patient, calm, friendly, dedicated, caring, driven, and understanding of other people’s needs.
