Our onsite canteen is at the heart of our Head Office in Chandlers Ford, which creates an energetic, vibrant, atmosphere for all staff, and we are looking for a Food Services Assistant to join the team What does this role involve? As a Food Services Assistant you will play an integral part of supporting the team through breakfast and lunch services, providing our staff with both hot and cold food options. Day to day you will: support our chefs with food preparation, ensure our salad bar, dessert bar, drinks fridge and snack stands are stocked, to allow staff to self-serve on these areas; fulfilling orders on our deli counter, by preparing wraps, baguettes, toasties and more; ensure the highest levels on cleanliness in the canteen at all times; using our till system to process card transactions, as our canteen is cashless; observe and comply with all company procedures, reporting any issues directly to the Chef Manager; be polite, professional, and friendly with customers, clients, and colleagues. Who are we looking for? As part of our small team, you will carry out health and safety checks, and ensure adherence to our high hygiene standards, within our canteen. You will be a positive and solution focused individual with a ‘can-do' attitude which will help with working in a customer facing environment. Previous experience in preparation and handling of food in a similar style environment is advantageous. For the successful candidate a Food Hygiene Certificate would be an advantage, however not essential as we will enrol you into the relevant course to obtain this.
