Branch Manager (PVC Builders Merchant)
At Central Plastics and Roofing, we are looking for a Branch Manager who is eager to expand their business acumen. We seek someone confident who will excel in their role, improving their own skills while growing the business along with the development of their branch staff.
This diverse role requires a candidate who can take responsibility for maximizing the performance of the branch. You will lead, develop, and motivate the team to achieve high levels of service. It’s varied; one minute you will be managing staff, the next you could be picking orders. This isn’t your average “manager” role.
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the branch, which includes serving customers, answering phones, checking deliveries, picking items from the warehouse, or stocking shelves. We have days where the hours just fly by and days where things are at a gentler pace, allowing you to lead, develop, and motivate the team to achieve high levels of service delivery.
You must have the following key skills:
1. Target-oriented, sales, and profit-driven.
2. Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
3. Exceptional mentoring and leadership skills.
4. Strong sense of compassion and empathy.
5. Excellent project management and organizational skills.
6. Administration skills with great attention to detail.
7. Numeracy skills.
8. Great communication skills, winning friends and influencing suppliers and customers.
To maintain branch growth, you will be expected to increase sales and broaden the customer base. You will be responsible for all aspects of the depot operations.
In leading and motivating your team to maintain the customer service levels that our customers expect, our customers will notice and be willing to grow and progress with your team. We want our customers to enjoy the experience of visiting our branches, where they can have a bit of banter, discuss situations, and feel that our staff make them feel welcome and respected.
We believe that promoting the practice of succession planning with our current staff members will inspire all staff to look to develop further in their own careers within the company when an opportunity arises.
