What We’re Looking For We are seeking an experienced Clinical Coder and Administrator who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your ability to ensure consistent, high-quality coding will directly support our commitment to delivering outstanding patient care. Key Responsibilities Coding and Data Management : Accurately summarise and read code patient records, hospital correspondence, and other data sources into EMIS Web, ensuring adherence to protocols. Mentorship : Support and mentor less experienced coders and administrators to enhance team capabilities. Team Development : Contribute to improving the quality of data collection and administrative processes. Daily Administration : Oversee tasks such as triaging clinical letters, managing patient records, and ensuring smooth operation of appointments and correspondence. Audits and Quality Assurance : Conduct quality checks and identify discrepancies to maintain accurate patient records. Workflow Optimisation : Assist in clinical documentation review and the improvement of practice workflows. Compliance : Adhere to coding requirements for Enhanced Services (ES), Quality Outcome Framework (QOF) and Public Health Management (PHM). Mailbox Management : Ensure all emails are actioned promptly. Essential Skills and Qualifications Experience with EMIS and clinical coding protocols. Good working knowledge of medical terminology. GCSE Level C (or equivalent) in literacy and numeracy, or relevant work-based experience. Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a variety of people. Patient-focused, with empathy and compassion when handling queries. Preferred Skills iMersey Clinical Coding Qualification or equivalent (preferred, not essential).
