About The Role
We have a great opportunity for a Paralegal to join our Complex Litigation department at DAS Law.
In this role, you’ll have an opportunity to work on diverse and complex property disputes from day one, which will include small claims, fast track and multi-track claims and defences. You’ll enjoy early responsibility for all of the claim stages, from inception to conclusion, including drafting of statements of case and witness statements, negotiation, mediation and trial and we’ll offer all the support and training you will need to be successful.
This is a role that offers real challenge, and you’ll enjoy an extremely varied caseload, including nuisance, trespass, property damage and negligence disputes (no two cases are ever the same!). It is a rewarding environment for candidates who are looking to work in a supportive, collaborative team, with the opportunity for continuous improvement and ability to develop professionally.
About You
Due to the nature of the disputes which can often be highly contentious in nature, we are looking for candidates with a background in client facing roles or candidates that can demonstrate a high degree of resilience and empathy. Our ideal candidate would also have experience in running their own caseload, and an interest in property law is essential.
We would like to hear from Solicitors, LLB/GDL or LPC graduates, ILEX, or those with equivalent experience who can demonstrate:
* A comprehensive working knowledge of civil procedure;
* Experience of running a significant case load with appropriate supervision;
* Outstanding client care skills;
* A commitment to ensuring good customer outcomes;
* Experience of case management and financial management and an understanding of the drivers behind a profitable and successful business; and
* A confident telephone manner with the ability to deal with clients who may be distressed and emotional due to the circumstances they find themselves in.
We support our people to achieve a work-life balance that works for them and are happy to discuss flexible working options
* Bullet point 5
If you think you would be a good match for this role and can demonstrate some transferable experience please apply, regardless of whether you meet all the criteria listed above.
