Budgeting and Management Reporting Manager

This role takes an office first hybrid approach here at London Gatwick, with three days a week in the office, two days remote, managed around the needs of the business.
What is the role?
Responsible for coordinating GAL's financial budgeting and forecasting, and management reporting. The key financial reporting liaison with VINCI Airports financial control team. Working within the Finance Business Partnering Team here at London Gatwick.
We are looking for this role to start in the summer 2025, as a result of planned retirement this role has the unique opportunity to have a handover period until the end of the year.
What will you do?
* Overseeing production of the Monthly Business Performance Report (BPR) which is distributed to Board, EMB, shareholders, Senior Leaders and others. Involves gathering data and commentaries from a range of contributors, reviewing and ensuring comments are clear and impactful.
* Coordinating regular and ad-hoc financial forecasts (to EBITDA) – setting timetables, ensuring colleagues provide information, summarising and presenting results.
* Preparing for and leading month end review meetings with senior finance team members.
* Reporting results to VINCI via BlueJay, together with managing ad-hoc info requests.
* Acting as Finance Business Partner for Airport Management, Finance and Economics & Regulation functions.
* Responsible for posting monthly payroll journals, forecasting bonus costs and ad-hoc staff cost analysis.
Do you have what we're looking for?
* Accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA).
* Experience of financial and management reporting and explanation of variance to forecasts.
* Experience of budgeting and forecasting in a complex business.
* Understanding of the needs of different ‘customers' – shareholders, exec.
* Excellent writing skills, able to edit other people's work to ensure a clearly written and meaningful commentary.
* Excellent communication skills, able to present complex data in a clear way appropriate to a number of different audiences.
* Excellent technical skills: above-average knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and ability to learn role-specific software (Anaplan and BlueJay).
* Experience of SAP and Power BI.
* Strong project management skills, including the ability to work under pressure, sometimes to short and/or fluid deadlines.
