Position: Behaviour Mentor
Location: Scarborough
Employment Type: Full-time/Part-time
Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications
Responsibilities:
* Provide targeted 1:1 and group support for students facing behavioral or emotional challenges
* Develop and implement behavior management strategies in collaboration with teachers and SEN coordinators
* Foster a positive, supportive, and safe learning environment to encourage student engagement and success
* Mentor students to improve their emotional well-being, resilience, and self-esteem
* Support students in making positive choices and developing coping strategies to manage their behavior effectively
* Work closely with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to supporting student behavior
Qualifications:
* Experience working with children or young people, particularly those with behavioral, emotional, or social difficulties (preferred but not essential)
* A calm, patient, and resilient nature with a passion for helping young people
* Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff
* A valid DBS check (or willingness to apply for one)
* Ability to work as part of a team and follow behavior management plans effectively
