Randstad is looking for an enthusiastic SEMH Teaching Assistant to join our dedicated team at a school in Oldham. In this vital role, you will work closely with students who require additional support to overcome challenges and reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide tailored support to students with SEMH needs both individually and in group settings.
2. Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and behavioural interventions.
3. Collaborate with teachers and other staff to foster a supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
4. Helping students learn and ensuring the classroom is a safe learning environment.
5. Monitor and track student progress, offering feedback and guidance.
Requirements:
6. Experience working in the UK with children or young people, especially those with SEMH needs.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting student's educational needs.
9. Enhanced DBS is mandatory (If you do not have a DBS on the update service you must be willing to apply for a new one).
10. Eligible to work in the UK (No Sponsorship provided).
